SAP Core Finance Functional Lead (Business Analyst IV)

Fairfax County Government is hiring an experienced SAP Core Finance Functional Lead (Business Analyst IV) in Burke, Fairfax County, US. This senior role oversees the Core Financials team, drives SAP process redesign and ensures optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP Core Financials functional area within the FOCUS Business Support Group.
• Manage a team of business analysts, providing coaching, performance reviews and workload planning.
• Collaborate with business process owners to gather requirements, redesign processes and align them with SAP best practices.
• Maintain functional configuration, support system testing, and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert for Core Finance, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance to end‑users.
• Develop and execute strategic roadmaps, including upgrades, enhancements and compliance initiatives.
• Prepare documentation, functional specifications, and training materials for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with SAP ERP Financials (FI/CO) in a public‑sector environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team of business analysts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and process‑reengineering skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• SAP certification (e.g., SAP FI, SAP CO) is a plus.

Compensation

Salary: $185,569.64 per year (fixed).
