Job Summary
Sumitomo Pharma is seeking a Territory Sales Manager – Specialty to drive sales of oncology, urology, women’s health, rare disease, cell & gene therapy, and CNS products in the Five Points area of Wake County, US. This full‑time role offers a competitive annual salary of $163,447.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve or exceed revenue targets for specialty pharmaceutical products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with oncologists, urologists, neurologists, and other specialty physicians.
- Educate healthcare providers on product benefits, clinical data, and proper usage.
- Coordinate with marketing, medical affairs, and field support teams to ensure alignment on launch initiatives and promotional activities.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and prescriber data to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and account plans.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of territory sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, preferably in oncology, urology, or CNS therapeutic areas.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory (approximately 30% travel).
- Strong analytical mindset and proficiency with CRM tools.
