About This Position

Job Summary

Truist is hiring a Risk Finance Data Management Manager I – Finance Regulatory Data in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, US. This senior role leads the governance, quality, and reporting of regulatory finance data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of finance regulatory data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories for risk‑related financial datasets.
  • Collaborate with risk, finance, audit, and technology teams to design data quality controls, validation rules, and automated monitoring processes.
  • Lead the production of regulatory reports (e.g., CCAR, DFAST, Basel III) and ensure timely submission to regulators.
  • Manage a team of data analysts and coordinate with external vendors for data sourcing and validation.
  • Identify data gaps, recommend remediation plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide strategic insights and data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership on risk and capital management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance data management, regulatory reporting, or risk analytics within a banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US banking regulations (e.g., OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve) and capital adequacy frameworks.
  • Proficiency with data management tools (SQL, Python/R, data warehouses, Tableau/Power BI).
  • Demonstrated leadership and project‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
