About This Position

Job Summary

Google is hiring a Research Data Scientist, Developer AI to work from its Grand Central, Manhattan office. This role focuses on advancing AI research, building scalable data pipelines, and mentoring junior scientists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement experiments that push the state‑of‑the‑art in AI and machine learning.
  • Develop, test, and productionize large‑scale data processing pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineers, product managers, and research scientists to translate research into deployable solutions.
  • Analyze complex datasets to extract insights that drive product improvements.
  • Publish findings in top conferences and internal knowledge bases.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI research.
  • Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and data‑engineering tools such as Apache Beam or Spark.
  • Experience handling large, complex datasets and building reproducible pipelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of publishing research.

  • Industry experience developing AI solutions that scale to millions of users.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform) and distributed computing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior scientists.

Compensation

Salary range: $181,444.58 per year.
