Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a RES eVA Cyber Security Associate to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with a base in Wyoming, Kent County. This full‑time role supports the eVA Authority to Operation (ATO) process and offers a salary of $92,746.65.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATO documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) control narratives, Risk Assessment inputs, Incident Response Plans (IRP) and Information System Contingency Plans (ISCP).
• Create and update configuration management artifacts to ensure compliance with federal standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day updates in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), including POA&M edits and control evidence collection.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address security findings and implement remediation actions.
• Conduct continuous monitoring activities and produce status reports for senior leadership.
• Provide guidance on security best practices and assist with audit preparations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a Public Trust or Suitability clearance.
• Experience in federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST SP 800‑53, RMF).
• Proficiency with eMASS, POA&M management, and ATO documentation.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills for drafting security narratives.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting deadlines.
