RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote)

GovCIO is hiring a RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote) to support the eVA Authority to Operation (ATO) process for a federal client. This fully remote role is based in the United States and offers a salary of $110,492.76 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain portions of ATO documentation, including SSP control narratives, risk assessment inputs, IRP/ISCP sections, and configuration management artifacts.
• Manage daily updates in eMASS, such as POA&M edits, control evidence uploads, and status tracking.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards and continuous monitoring requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on security controls, vulnerability remediation, and incident response planning.
• Support audit readiness by preparing evidence packages and responding to reviewer inquiries.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• Experience in federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST SP 800‑53, RMF) and eMASS.
• Strong written communication skills for creating clear, concise security documentation.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and system configuration management.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

• DoD 8570 certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+).
• Hands‑on experience with eVA or similar e‑government platforms.
• Familiarity with continuous monitoring tools and automated compliance reporting.
