RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking a RES eVA Cyber Security Associate to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, supporting the eVA Authority to Operation (ATO) process. This full‑time role offers a salary of $84,646.99.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATO documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) control narratives, Risk Assessment inputs, Incident Response Plans (IRP), and Information System Contingency Plans (ISCP).
• Create and update configuration management artifacts to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
• Manage daily updates in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), including POA&M edits and control evidence tracking.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather security requirements and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
• Support continuous monitoring activities and prepare reports for senior leadership and auditors.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in federal IT security, preferably with eVA, eMASS, or similar RMF tools.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and associated security controls.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Familiarity with Agile development and DevSecOps practices.
