Job Summary
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer for its Reliability & Durability Team in Sand Lake, Orange County, US. This role leads failure analysis, accelerated life testing, and data‑driven mitigation to ensure product performance from concept through field service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) for parts and sub‑assemblies.
- Develop and execute accelerated life test programs to uncover hidden failure risks.
- Analyze test data and provide actionable mitigation strategies to engineering and program teams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional groups including design, manufacturing, and field service to integrate reliability requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and reliability documentation for senior leadership.
- Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement of reliability processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, FMECA, and accelerated testing.
- Proficiency with reliability analysis tools (e.g., ReliaSoft, Minitab) and statistical methods.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical data clearly.
- Security clearance eligibility for US government contracts.
