Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on a 6‑bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit with a focus on neurology.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, assess neurological status, and intervene according to physician orders.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform wound care following hospital protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant patient environment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Virginia.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with relevant experience.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of MedSurg or Telemetry nursing experience; neurology experience is a plus.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required.
• Strong critical‑thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Shift Details & Schedule Options

• Night shift (weekdays) with every other weekend, holiday, and float requirements.
• Schedule options: 3 × 12‑hour shifts (36 hrs/week) or 4 × 12‑hour shifts (48 hrs/week).
• Overtime paid after 48 hours per week.
