About This Position
Job Summary
The Regional RN MDS Coordinator role at Absolut Care of Gasport is a full‑time, on‑site position based in the United States. You will oversee the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process for multiple facilities in the Western New York region, ensuring accurate clinical documentation, timely reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate MDS assessments across all WNY facilities, guaranteeing accuracy and meeting PDPM deadlines.
- Conduct regular audits of MDS submissions to identify and correct deficiencies.
- Provide education and training to interdisciplinary teams on MDS best practices and regulatory updates.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and finance departments to optimize clinical reimbursement.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of CMS regulations, OASIS, and other relevant compliance standards.
- Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for state and federal surveyors during inspections.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the United States.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care, with direct involvement in MDS/PDPM processes.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and training abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to regulatory compliance.
Compensation & Benefits
