Waltrip Ranches is hiring a full‑time Ranch Hand/Laborer for its historic Tres Ritos Ranch in Questa, Taos County, New Mexico. Earn a competitive salary of $90,766 per year while working on 3,100 acres of iconic northern New Mexico landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily livestock care, including feeding, moving, and health monitoring of cattle, horses, and other animals.
- Maintain fences, gates, and ranch infrastructure using hand and power tools.
- Operate and maintain ranch equipment such as tractors, ATVs, and irrigation systems.
- Support seasonal activities like calving, shearing, and haying.
- Help with general ranch upkeep, including cleaning barns, repairing structures, and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the ranch owner and other crew members to uphold the ranch’s long‑standing standards of quality and stewardship.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working on a cattle or mixed‑livestock ranch preferred.
