Job Summary
Southwest Medical Imaging is seeking a full‑time Radiology Scheduler in Scottsdale, Maricopa County, AZ. The role involves handling inbound and outbound calls, scheduling and confirming patient radiology appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and place calls to internal staff and external patients, providing courteous service.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm radiology exams using the company’s computerized scheduling system.
- Verify patient information, insurance eligibility, and required preparations for each exam.
- Enter and update patient data accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
- Coordinate with radiology technologists, physicians, and other departments to optimize appointment availability.
- Handle appointment cancellations, no‑shows, and follow‑up communications.
- Generate daily and weekly scheduling reports for the Contact Center Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; additional healthcare or administrative training preferred.
- Prior experience in medical scheduling, preferably radiology or imaging.
- Strong computer skills; familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) or radiology information systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $44,675.31 annually (fixed). Full‑time, non‑exempt position with standard benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
