Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate project activities for a Federal R&D agency PMO, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Serve as the primary liaison between federal stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners.
- Prepare and present status reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Facilitate cross‑functional meetings, workshops, and decision‑making sessions.
- Implement best‑practice project management methodologies and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior staff and promote a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of project management experience, preferably in federal or R&D environments.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by the client.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
