Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Principal Thermal Process Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite) in Miland, Sabine County, US. This senior engineering role focuses on developing and optimizing thermal manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and validation of thermal processing techniques used in the production of turbine and engine parts.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including design, quality, and supply chain—to ensure process reliability and compliance with aerospace standards.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and control plans.
- Conduct root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on thermal equipment and simulation tools.
- Support new product introductions by defining thermal process requirements and risk assessments.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. person status (required for access to classified program information).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in thermal processing, heat treatment, or manufacturing engineering within the aerospace or high‑performance engine industry.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, heat transfer, and process simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management skills.
- No security clearance required.
Compensation
Salary: $145,758.67 per year.
