Oracle is seeking a Principal Software Developer specialized in C/C++, Java and distributed systems to join the Exadata Team in Urbanización El Vedado, San Juan, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high‑performance software for Oracle Exadata Storage Server and Database Machine.
• Lead architecture decisions for distributed system components and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Mentor senior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive best‑practice coding standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex performance bottlenecks and system failures.

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in C/C++ and Java development.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and storage architectures.
• Proven track record designing and shipping large‑scale, mission‑critical software.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Oracle database technologies and Exadata platform.
• Familiarity with Linux kernel development and performance tuning.

Compensation

Annual salary: $127,181.23
