Job Summary

Medtronic is hiring a Principal Affera Mapping Specialist – CAS to work remotely while being based in Asheville, Buncombe County, NC. This senior role supports advanced cardiac mapping projects across multiple U.S. locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the configuration, execution, and analysis of Affera cardiac mapping studies for clinical trials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Chattanooga, TN and Paducah, KY to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training materials for mapping technology.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior specialists and act as the subject‑matter expert for CAS (Cardiac Ablation Services) initiatives.
• Interact with customers, investigators, and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and optimize mapping workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Electrophysiology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with cardiac mapping systems, preferably Affera or comparable platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for on‑site support at Medtronic locations.

Compensation

Annual salary: $87,211.62
