Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and execute hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) test rigs for powertrain control units.
• Model powertrain subsystems in MATLAB/Simulink and generate production‑ready code with TargetLink.
• Design and validate control algorithms for engines, transmissions, and ECM calibration.
• Perform MIL/SIL testing, data acquisition, and results analysis to ensure compliance with automotive standards.
• Implement CAN communication stacks (J1939, OBD, UDS) and diagnostic services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—hardware, software, and system engineers—to troubleshoot issues and improve test coverage.
• Document test procedures, results, and validation reports in accordance with industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in powertrain control development or validation.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and TargetLink code generation.
• Strong knowledge of powertrain hardware, engine/calibration concepts, and transmission control.
• Hands‑on experience with CAN protocols (J1939, OBD, UDS) and diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with MIL/SIL/HIL testing methodologies and automotive standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR preferred).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with real‑time HIL platforms such as dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or Speedgoat.
• Background in model‑based development and automatic code generation for embedded controllers.
• Understanding of emission regulations and powertrain performance metrics.
