Policy & External Affairs Intern – USA Rare Earth

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze public policies, regulations, and industry trends affecting rare earths, lithium, and critical minerals.
  • Prepare briefing notes, policy memos, and executive summaries for senior leadership.
  • Assist in drafting position papers, stakeholder letters, and public comments.
  • Support the External Affairs team in building relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and industry associations.
  • Monitor legislative developments and maintain an up‑to‑date policy tracker.
  • Contribute to internal communications and help organize events, webinars, and round‑table discussions.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Public Policy, International Relations, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Interest in clean energy, electric vehicles, semiconductors, or defense supply chains.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
