About This Position

Horizon North is seeking a skilled Plumber/Gas Fitter to work on remote lodges and modular structures throughout the Fort St. John area, Peace River region, BC. You will install, repair and maintain water and gas systems for new builds and renovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test and commission plumbing and gas piping according to drawings, specifications and local codes.
  • Perform repairs, replacements and routine maintenance on water supply, drainage and gas distribution systems.
  • Read and interpret blue‑prints, schematics and work orders for relocatable modular units.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Hand, site supervisors and other trades to ensure safe, on‑time project delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to safety procedures and complete required documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid plumbing and gas‑fitting licence in British Columbia.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in residential, commercial or modular construction.
  • Ability to work independently on remote sites and travel within the Fort St. John region.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and good communication.
  • Knowledge of BC Building Code, CSA gas standards and occupational health & safety regulations.
