About This Position

Divcon Controls is hiring a PLC Engineer in Irving, Dallas, Texas to design, program, and support advanced automation systems for HVAC, lighting, and power monitoring projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and commission Allen‑Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA, and Delta DDC systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, field service, and project teams to translate design specifications into functional automation solutions.
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and on‑site commissioning of control hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including wiring diagrams, logic schematics, and test reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new technologies and optimizing existing control strategies for energy efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix/Studio 5000) and Ignition SCADA.
  • Familiarity with Delta DDC, HVAC control sequences, and power monitoring devices.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to read and create electrical schematics, and excellent communication for client interaction.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within the Dallas‑Fort Worth metro area.
