About This Position
Join Eliassen Group as a Platform Engineer IV in Jacks Cabin, Gunnison County (US) and lead the design, development, and operation of high‑availability Java and Angular services for a mission‑critical platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable micro‑services using Spring Boot (Java) and Angular front‑ends.
- Ensure platform uptime, performance, and stability through proactive monitoring and incident response.
- Design, implement, and document public APIs consumed by data‑science, operations, and database teams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate big‑data tooling (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Automate CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and knowledge‑sharing workshops.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience developing Java services with Spring Boot.
- Strong front‑end skills in Angular (TypeScript, RxJS) and RESTful API design.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proficiency in big‑data technologies and data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of automation, monitoring, and logging tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
- Familiarity with security best practices for API gateways and data protection.
- Background in high‑availability, low‑latency systems.
