Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients, verify insurance, and manage check‑in/check‑out processes.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate electronic health records.
- Perform basic clinical duties such as taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and assisting the provider during examinations.
- Answer multi‑line phone system, triage calls, and relay messages promptly.
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve concerns, and uphold HIPAA confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure compliance with office policies.
- Support practice manager with reporting, inventory control, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of front‑desk or clinical support experience in a physician practice.
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Athenahealth, Epic) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and customer‑service skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including occasional evenings.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
