Job Summary
Upstream Rehabilitation is hiring a Physical Therapy Technician – PRN to work in its Wichita, Sedgwick County clinic. This part‑time, on‑call role supports licensed therapists in delivering high‑quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical and Occupational Therapists with patient set‑up, equipment preparation, and treatment modalities under direct supervision.
- Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and ensure all therapy equipment is functional and safely stored.
- Document patient attendance, vital signs, and therapy notes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Provide patient education on basic home exercise programs and safety precautions.
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions, reporting any changes in condition to the supervising therapist.
- Help with scheduling, patient check‑in/out, and basic administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; additional coursework in kinesiology, anatomy, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with EMR systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
