About This Position

Job Summary

Upstream Rehabilitation is hiring a Physical Therapy Technician – PRN to work in its Wichita, Sedgwick County clinic. This part‑time, on‑call role supports licensed therapists in delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical and Occupational Therapists with patient set‑up, equipment preparation, and treatment modalities under direct supervision.
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and ensure all therapy equipment is functional and safely stored.
  • Document patient attendance, vital signs, and therapy notes accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Provide patient education on basic home exercise programs and safety precautions.
  • Monitor patients during therapy sessions, reporting any changes in condition to the supervising therapist.
  • Help with scheduling, patient check‑in/out, and basic administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; additional coursework in kinesiology, anatomy, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with EMR systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
