About This Position
Job Summary
The Physical Resources Manager – CLC will oversee facilities operations and maintenance for all on‑campus properties managed by Campus Living Centres in Toronto, Ontario. This role ensures building systems run smoothly, supports daily operational needs and drives mid‑ to long‑term corporate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on‑site and remote support for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and life‑safety systems across the on‑campus portfolio.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and emergency response procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts and service level agreements.
- Develop and implement cost‑effective maintenance strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, budgets and capital‑expenditure recommendations.
- Lead a team of technicians and contractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with property managers, university partners and internal stakeholders to prioritize projects and resolve issues quickly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Post‑secondary education in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive facilities operations experience, preferably in higher‑education or multi‑property environments.
- Strong knowledge of building systems – mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and energy management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts and vendor performance.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving and leadership skills.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites.
