Operations Lead

GovCIO is seeking an Operations Lead to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) background investigation systems. This fully remote, Top Secret‑cleared role is based in Wyoming, Kent County, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for core DCSA system applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor system resources, performance metrics, and security alerts, taking corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate with DCSA customer agencies to resolve incidents, manage service requests, and deliver status updates.
• Maintain documentation of operational procedures, configuration changes, and incident reports.
• Lead a small technical team, delegating tasks, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards.
• Assist with system upgrades, patches, and releases while minimizing downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance (must be current at time of hire).
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or related fields supporting government or defense contracts.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments, networking, and security monitoring tools.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and manage incident response.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with federal agencies and remote team members.
• Experience with ITIL/ITSM processes is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work supporting DCSA or other security clearance systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
• Project management or team leadership experience.

Compensation

Salary range: $117,928.02 per year.
