Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking an Operations Lead in Washington, D.C., US to provide fully‑remote, Top‑Secret support for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) background investigation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain core DCSA system applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor system resources, conduct capacity planning, and resolve performance issues.
• Coordinate incident response, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis for service disruptions.
• Lead a distributed technical team, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and fostering continuous improvement.
• Develop and enforce operational SOPs, security policies, and compliance with Top‑Secret requirements.
• Generate regular status reports, metrics, and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with DCSA stakeholders to align system capabilities with evolving security clearance processes.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top‑Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or related roles supporting mission‑critical applications.
• Proven leadership experience managing remote technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DCSA or other federal background investigation systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
• Certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, or PMP.

Compensation

Salary: $95,283.05 per year (fixed). Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) and generous paid time off.
