Operations Lead

Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking an Operations Lead in Phoenix, Maricopa County, US, to provide full‑time, remote support for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) background investigation systems. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and availability of critical IT applications used for security clearances.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system resources, performance metrics, and security alerts for DCSA’s core applications.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, patch management, and emergency incident response.
• Lead a distributed team of analysts and engineers, delegating tasks and tracking progress.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with DCSA customer agencies to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and third‑party support contracts.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, preferably within federal or defense contracting environments.
• Demonstrated leadership of remote technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration, networking, and security monitoring tools.
• Experience with ITIL/ITSM frameworks and change management.
• Active Top‑Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Compensation & Benefits
