Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking an Operations Lead in Cammack Village, Pulaski County, US to provide top‑secret, fully remote support for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) background investigation systems. This role ensures continuous operation, performance monitoring, and administration of core IT applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system resources, performance metrics, and availability of DCSA background investigation platforms.
• Perform routine operational tasks, including backups, patch management, and incident response.
• Coordinate with DCSA customer agencies to resolve technical issues and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Lead a small technical team, providing mentorship, task delegation, and performance feedback.
• Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with Top Secret handling requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 5+ years of IT operations experience in a government or defense environment.
• Strong knowledge of system monitoring tools, network protocols, and security best practices.
• Experience with Windows/Linux server administration and database management.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage remote teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with federal customers and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DCSA or other intelligence community systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
• Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL Foundation.

Compensation

Salary: $140,492.72 per year.
