Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking an Operations Lead in Bismarck, Burleigh County, US to oversee the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) background investigation systems. This fully remote, Top Secret position ensures the reliability and performance of critical security clearance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system resources, performance metrics, and availability of core DCSA applications.
• Coordinate daily operational tasks, including incident response, change management, and service restoration.
• Lead a distributed support team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Develop and maintain operational SOPs, documentation, and reporting dashboards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, architecture, and client stakeholders to implement enhancements and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with Top Secret handling procedures and federal security regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
• 5+ years of IT operations experience in a federal or defense environment.
• Proven leadership of remote technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of system monitoring tools, performance tuning, and incident management processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with government customers.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with DCSA background investigation platforms or similar security clearance systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
• Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL Practitioner.

Compensation

Salary range: $89,580.09 – $89,580.09 per year.
