Join Eliassen Group as an Operational Technology (OT) Security Engineer working remotely for a government client. You will protect critical industrial systems by designing, implementing, and monitoring security controls that meet DoD and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security architectures for OT environments, including SCADA, PLC, and IoT devices.
• Develop and enforce security policies aligned with DoD STIGs, NIST 800‑53, and IEC 62443.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses on industrial control systems.
• Monitor security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and anomaly‑detection tools; respond to incidents in real time.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and program management teams to integrate security controls into system lifecycles.
• Produce technical documentation, compliance reports, and mitigation plans for senior leadership.
• Stay current on emerging OT threats, zero‑day exploits, and best‑practice frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience securing OT/ICS environments, preferably in a government or defense setting.
• Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, NIST, and IEC 62443 standards.
• Proficiency with security tooling such as firewalls, VPNs, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection for OT devices.
• Experience scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell) to streamline security controls.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, GICSP, GICSP‑OT, CEH, or similar) are a plus.
