Job Summary

Join Eliassen Group as an Operational Technology Security Engineer, working remotely from Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, US. You will protect critical industrial and OT systems for a government client, applying DoD and industry‑standard security controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security architectures for operational technology environments.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and threat modeling specific to OT networks.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and hardening guides aligned with DoD STIGs and NIST standards.
• Monitor OT systems using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and anomaly‑detection tools; respond to incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and program management teams to integrate security controls into system lifecycles.
• Provide technical guidance and training to stakeholders on OT security best practices.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and compliance evidence for audits and government reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience securing industrial control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS) or similar OT environments.
• Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks (STIG, RMF) and NIST 800‑53/800‑171.
• Proficiency with OT‑specific security tools (e.g., firewalls, network segmentation, threat detection platforms).
• Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring in OT settings.
• Relevant certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CEH, or similar are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, DNP3).
• Familiarity with cloud‑based OT security solutions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Compensation

Salary: $92,542.20 per year (fixed).
