Job Summary

SilverSky is seeking a Network Security Engineer L2 to join its Fort Lauderdale, Broward County team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing security solutions for global clients while protecting critical network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies.
• Perform advanced threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best‑practice documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design secure network architectures for new projects.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing support, and risk assessments.
• Provide Level‑2 escalation support for security alerts and tickets.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in network security engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, VPN, and routing protocols.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, or GICSP preferred.
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
