Network Administrator

Optel Group is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join its Québec office, Canada. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure, high‑performance network infrastructure that supports the company’s global traceability solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls and wireless networks.
• Maintain network security policies, perform regular vulnerability assessments and apply patches.
• Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support cloud and on‑premise applications.
• Document network architecture, procedures and incident reports.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for network‑related tickets and ensure SLA compliance.
• Participate in capacity planning, upgrades and disaster‑recovery testing.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper or similar networking equipment.
• Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English; French language skills are advantageous.
