Key Responsibilities

• Travel to client homes across New York to deliver compassionate end‑of‑life veterinary care.
• Conduct examinations, diagnose conditions, and provide pain‑management and palliative treatments.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners, offering emotional support and guidance throughout the hospice process.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete required documentation in compliance with veterinary regulations.
• Collaborate with the Lap of Love team to ensure consistent standards of care and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Surgeon (or equivalent) with a current practising licence.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably with exposure to palliative or hospice care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide empathetic support to grieving families.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for travel between appointments.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage a part‑time schedule independently.
