Job Summary

Exalto Consulting Ltd is seeking a senior MES Implementation Engineer / Consultant in Slough, Berkshire. This hybrid role (2 days on‑site) offers a competitive salary of £80,000 and involves leading end‑to‑end Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects for key customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of MES delivery, from initial scoping through to go‑live and post‑implementation support.
• Lead complex, multi‑site implementation programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and managing expectations.
• Develop project plans, risk registers and mitigation strategies, coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants and technical staff.
• Collaborate with sales and pre‑sales to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Continuously improve implementation methodologies and contribute to knowledge‑base assets.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience (5+ years) delivering MES solutions in manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Solid understanding of production processes, quality management, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Experience with leading MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell, SAP ME) is highly desirable.
• Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP) is a plus.
