Key Responsibilities

• Submit clean, accurate claims for DME and medical supplies to Medicare, Medi‑Cal, HMOs, and IPA groups.
• Review provider documentation for compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
• Perform claim edits, follow‑up on denials, and manage appeals to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Los Angeles County billing guidelines and government‑managed care policies.
• Communicate effectively with clinicians, vendors, and payers to resolve billing issues.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on claim status, collections, and key performance indicators.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience billing medical supplies and DME in government and managed‑care settings.
• Demonstrated experience with Los Angeles County billing requirements.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic claim submission (e.g., CPT, HCPCS, ICD‑10).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
