About the Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will serve as the scientific bridge between Vaxcyte, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and the broader medical community. You will communicate complex data, gather insights, and support evidence‑generation strategies for our pipeline vaccines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs, investigators, and healthcare professionals in infectious disease, immunology, and pediatrics.
• Deliver accurate, balanced scientific presentations on Vaxcyte’s vaccine candidates and data.
• Collect and relay field insights to internal teams to shape clinical development and commercial strategies.
• Support clinical trial site identification, feasibility assessments, and patient recruitment initiatives.
• Participate in advisory boards, scientific conferences, and continuing medical education events.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and company policies in all scientific interactions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in microbiology, immunology, infectious disease, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an MSL or in a comparable scientific liaison role within the biotech/pharma industry.
• Strong understanding of bacterial pathogenesis, vaccine development, and clinical trial design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with KOLs and navigate multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 60 % of the time regionally and nationally.
