Job Summary

Los Angeles Christian Health Centers is seeking a dedicated Medical Director in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. This senior clinical leader will oversee comprehensive primary and preventive care for a diverse patient population, including individuals with chronic disease, substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assess needs, and prescribe evidence‑based treatment plans within professional licensing limits.
• Lead and mentor Advanced Practice Providers, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure high‑quality clinical outcomes.
• Develop and implement policies, protocols, and quality‑improvement initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission.
• Oversee chronic disease management, behavioral health integration, and substance‑use disorder programs.
• Collaborate with community partners and social service agencies to coordinate care for homeless and underserved populations.
• Monitor clinical performance metrics, conduct chart reviews, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in recruitment, credentialing, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with an active California medical license.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience treating diverse, underserved populations and managing substance‑use or mental‑health programs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits
