Job Summary
Bonmente, a leading outpatient mental health provider in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, is hiring a Medical Billing & Collections Manager. This full‑time role oversees billing operations, ensures timely reimbursement, and leads a team to support services across California, Arizona, and Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end medical billing cycle for psychiatric, ADHD, TMS, and telemedicine services.
- Supervise and mentor billing and collections staff, providing training on coding, payer guidelines, and compliance.
- Monitor accounts receivable, resolve claim denials, and implement strategies to improve cash flow.
- Maintain accurate patient account records and ensure adherence to HIPAA and state regulations.
- Collaborate with clinicians, insurance carriers, and the finance department to streamline billing workflows.
- Prepare regular financial reports, KPI dashboards, and audit documentation for senior leadership.
- Stay current on changes to Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer policies affecting mental health services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of medical billing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or manager role.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10, and HCPCS coding for mental health and telehealth services.
- Proven track record of reducing claim denials and improving collection rates.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.
Compensation & Benefits
