Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cut, and package fresh meat products according to company standards and food safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked meat department, ensuring product rotation and accurate labeling.
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly service to customers, answering product questions and offering preparation tips.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and communicate replenishment needs to the department manager.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Assist with receiving shipments, inspecting deliveries for quality, and recording discrepancies.
- Support promotional events, product sampling, and merchandising initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; prior experience in a meat department or food service is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of meat cuts, handling techniques, and USDA regulations.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lb, and perform repetitive tasks.
