Job Summary
Southern Company is seeking a skilled M E Construction Manager (Mechanical, Electrical, MEP, ESCO) to lead installation projects in Washington, D.C., US. This full‑time role ensures equipment is installed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on‑site construction activities for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries, inspections, and commissioning.
- Manage subcontractors, internal crews, and third‑party vendors.
- Maintain compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Track project budgets, schedules, and progress reports, addressing any variances promptly.
- Serve as the primary liaison between PowerSecure, clients, and local authorities.
- Prepare and submit daily reports, change orders, and close‑out documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of construction management experience on MEP or ESCO projects.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and large‑scale budgets.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE, and local building codes.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
Compensation
Salary: $84,851.95 USD per year (fixed annual rate).
