Ultra-Poly Corporation is seeking a Materials Development Engineer to join its innovative team in Portland, Northampton County, PA. This full‑time role focuses on developing sustainable polymer materials for recycling applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize polymer formulations for recycled plastic products.
- Conduct laboratory experiments, analyze data, and generate technical reports.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to scale up successful formulations.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Stay current with emerging recycling technologies and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in polymer development, preferably in recycling or sustainable materials.
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as DSC, TGA, FTIR, and rheometers.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
