About This Position
Job Summary
The Material Handler position at CTC in Chelsea, Suffolk County (US) is a full‑time, 6‑month role (Mon‑Fri, 9 am‑5 pm) supporting the movement, handling and storage of raw materials, work‑in‑process and finished goods in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and quality standards.
- Transport and stage materials to production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks or manual methods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform basic cycle counts.
- Store finished goods in designated locations and ensure proper labeling.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized and compliant with safety and cGMP regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, documenting shipments and returns.
- Report any discrepancies, damages or out‑of‑spec items to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Entry‑level experience in material handling, warehouse operations or a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory tracking.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to follow cGMP, safety and cleanliness standards.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $65,220.64 (fixed for the 6‑month contract). Standard benefits may include health coverage, paid time off and opportunities for overtime.
