Job Summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Wichita, Sedgwick County, US. This role focuses on lean manufacturing, safety, quality, and on‑time delivery for instrument, avionics, and aircraft power solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve assembly line processes using lean manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—design, quality, supply chain, and production—to optimize workflows.
• Develop and implement work instructions, standard operating procedures, and visual controls.
• Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and root‑cause analysis to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain high product quality.
• Support new product introductions and assist in tooling and fixture design.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, throughput, and scrap rates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or defense.
• Strong knowledge of lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Proficiency with CAD/solid modeling software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Wichita and travel to other facilities as needed.

Compensation

Salary range: $71,247.90 per year.
