Manager, Airline Relations – San Diego County Regional Airport Authority
San Diego International Airport is seeking a proactive Manager, Airline Relations to lead partnership initiatives with airline carriers, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional passenger experiences in San Diego, California.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the airport and airline partners, addressing operational, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Develop and execute strategic airline plans that support airport growth, route development, and revenue targets.
- Coordinate with airport departments (operations, security, marketing, and customer service) to align airline needs with airport policies.
- Monitor and analyze airline performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve on‑time performance and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts, slot allocations, and fee structures while ensuring compliance with FAA and TSA regulations.
- Lead a small team, providing mentorship, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities.
- Represent the airport at industry conferences, airline meetings, and community events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in airline relations, airport operations, or commercial aviation.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, airline scheduling, and slot management.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and produce strategic recommendations.
Compensation & Benefits
