Job Summary
Marriott International, Inc is seeking a part‑time Maintenance Technician II to join the engineering team at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village in Cape Coral, Lee County, Florida. This overnight‑shift role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities to identify and correct deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate work orders, track inventory of parts, and document completed tasks.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, local codes, and Marriott brand guidelines.
- Assist in emergency response situations, such as power outages or water leaks, during overnight hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in hotel or commercial facility maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Availability to work overnight shifts and occasional weekends.
