Mainframe Devops Architect

Involgix is hiring a Mainframe DevOps Architect to work remotely from anywhere in the US. This senior role focuses on designing and implementing DevOps transformations for IBM mainframe environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end DevOps strategy for mainframe platforms, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
• Integrate legacy COBOL, PL/I and Assembler applications with modern cloud‑native tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to ensure compliance, performance and scalability.
• Define standards, best practices and governance for source control, build automation, and environment provisioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in mainframe development and operations.
• Proven expertise in DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD implementation for z/OS.
• Strong knowledge of IBM tools such as z/OSMF, Endevor, UrbanCode Deploy, and DB2 administration.
• Hands‑on experience with scripting languages (REXX, Python, Bash) and container technologies (Docker, OpenShift).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Deployment Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

Compensation

Salary range: $141,008.58 annually.
