Job Summary

Electra is hiring an experienced Line/Chase Pilot and A&P Mechanic in Manassas, Prince William County, Virginia. This hands‑on role supports development and flight testing of Electra’s two‑seat prototype and 9‑passenger hybrid‑electric eSTOL aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform line and chase flights to evaluate aircraft performance, handling, and safety.
• Conduct pre‑flight inspections, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues on both prototype and production models.
• Execute A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) maintenance, including scheduled inspections, repairs, and component replacements.
• Collaborate with engineers and test pilots to gather flight data and provide feedback for design improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive flight and maintenance logs in compliance with FAA regulations.
• Support ground operations, including rigging, fueling, and aircraft preparation for test flights.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current FAA commercial pilot certificate with line‑check experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certificate.
• Minimum 3 years experience on experimental or prototype aircraft, preferably hybrid‑electric or eSTOL platforms.
• Strong knowledge of FAA Part 23/25 regulations and aircraft systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, troubleshooting avionics, and performing composite repairs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel to test sites and work flexible hours, including weekends.
