Key Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical investigations, site assessments, and soil/rock testing for federal and commercial projects.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and risk assessments in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Conduct on‑site inspections and field data collection, coordinating travel based on task order requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to integrate geotechnical findings into overall project designs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and deliverables within stipulated timelines for each task order.
- Provide expert technical guidance to junior staff and subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current professional engineering license (PE) with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical field work, laboratory testing, and report preparation.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, gINT) and standard office tools.
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor and manage multiple task orders simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to travel to remote sites as needed.
- U.S. work authorization; residency in Guam is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation & Engagement Details
This position is an independent contractor (1099) engagement. The consultant will sign a PSCG Master Independent Consultant Agreement for pre‑qualification. The rate is $235 per hour, which translates to an annualized amount of $122,063.12 based on a standard full‑time workload.
