About This Position
Leon’s Furniture is seeking a detail‑oriented Legal Administrator to join its Legal Department in York, Toronto. This on‑site role supports store operations, manages claims and documentation, and collaborates with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Legal Department, including drafting correspondence, filing, and record‑keeping.
- Coordinate legal matters across multiple retail locations, ensuring timely response to inquiries and compliance with company policies.
- Manage and track claims, lawsuits, and other legal cases, maintaining accurate documentation and status updates.
- Liaise with external counsel, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies as required.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management.
- Assist in contract review and ensure proper execution and filing of agreements.
- Support internal teams such as HR, Finance, and Operations on legal‑related issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in legal studies, paralegal, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of administrative or legal support experience, preferably in a retail or corporate environment.
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
